  • Ensures that the Mercer Homepage and other critical sites effectively communicate the institution's distinctives, accomplishments and mission
  • Ensures that key marketing messages are consistently integrated into appropriate online communications
  • Consults with deans, department heads and others on the design and deployment of online communications that effectively market their programs
  • Works closely with Information Technology's Web Management staff to develop new tools and applications that advance the institution's marketing communications objectives
  • Works with the Web Management and Marketing Communications staffs to ensure Web publishing policies and graphic standards are maintained and updated as needed
  • Serves as a liaison between University departments and outside vendors that are contracted for online communications development projects
  • Follows emerging Web technologies that would allow the University's online communications to more effectively achieve its marketing communications objectives
  • Chair of the University's Social Media committee
